| The
Family Growth and Development Center functions under contract
with the Department of Human Services (formerly the Family Independence
Agency) and provides specialized services to high-risk families through
extensive home-based activities, parent education, transportation
and child care. In working with families referred from the FIA Protective
Services and/or Foster Care unit, the goal of Family Growth is to
improve family functioning in order to prevent separation.
Funded by Wayne County Department of Community Justice
The Community Organization Unit remains vigilant in advocating
for the prompt demolition of abandoned building in the neighborhood.
The Community Organization Unit facilitates numerous activities
for residents and families in the area. We are appreciative for
the dozens of dedicated volunteers who helped make all of our activities
like Focus Hope and FEMA a success.
